It's snowing!!!
After a month of beautiful weather the snow is back. Who would of thought it would snow during spring break. I guess it's good that we didn't have any plans for our vacation. We got back from Portland 2 weeks ago. We had a great time. The kids loved the zoo. The monkeys were a big hit. Yesterday I took the kids to Wildlife Safari in Winston Oregon. It was amazing. Jaden got to help the elephants with a trick they were learning, then he won a painting that Alice, the elephant had painted. All of us then got a chance to pet the elephants. Ella loved it. She's come a long way from being afraid of dogs and cats to petting elephants. Enjoy spring break.

Blackberries!
I love spring! But I think that yardwork has become hazzardous to my health. I just got in from pulling a blackberry bush from out of my photinia. My arms have scratches and tiny thorns all over them. I'll have to go try to tweeze them out, but I think these ones are to small. I'll just have to wait it out. We are having a great day. The girls just got done with gymnastics, dinner is already cooked and now the girls are down for a nap. It's the best time of the day. I think I am going to take advantage of the quiet and try to take a nap too.

Go Cougars!
The family has spent the weekend cheering for the BYU mens basketball team. So far so good. It has been fun to spend the time with friends and cheer together. It is amazing how many couger fans we've found in the small city of Medford, Oregon. And they are all just as die hard as Jeremy. About 30 of us drive to Provo for the homecoming football game every year. We have a blast.
Kyla and I got our hair cut today. Kyla's looks great. We got the back cut. It is finally starting to even out and she's got a cute little bob. I had no idea it would take this long for her hair to grow out after she cut it this summer. I'll add some pictures later. By the way I'm happy with my hair to. I told her I wanted to start wearing it curly more, so she cut it to take advantage of my natural wave. It looks good and takes no time to do. That is what I am all about. Basketball game today at 4:00 pm. Go Cougars!

Kyla speaks!
Kyla gave her first talk in Primary today. She talked about how following Jesus example helps increase her faith in him. She did a great job! She got a little nervous when she first got to the microphone and didn't want to talk (which is a real shocker, she's never been at a loss for words before). When I asked her if she wanted to just bear her testimony she said yes and immediately started talking. She was great. Once she got done with her testimony I helped her with the rest of her talk. When we got home she told me that she was afraid that people would laugh at her. I asked her if anyone laughed at her and she said no (Thankfully). When I asked her if anyone had told her what a great job she did, she got really thoughtfull then she yelled "Yes!" I asked her who had told her that and she screamed, "My Mom". She was so excited. I was so gratefull that it still meant something to her. I have to write this down so I can read it when she says, "Yeah, but it was only mom."

Jaden goes green
Today Jaden passed his testing to move from a orange belt to a green belt in Karate. The instructor said he could really tell that Jaden has been practicing. He said it was the best test he has ever seen Jaden do! He didn't hesitate or have to look at the other kids to know what to do. He was awesome. We went out to Applebee's to celebrate after. The girls had a great time cheering for their big brother. They were so proud of him. They gave him big hugs afterwards. Yeah Jaden!

King Family February 2007
Hello Family. Jeanine talked me into this. We'll see how long it lasts. I'll probably end up calling you all with news before you read it here, but it will cut down on the number of pictures I'll have to send out. This month has been full of exciting things. I am keeping busy with Young Womens and Jeremy is busy being a dentist. I am also training (using the word lightly)for the 10 mile Pear Blossom run in June. Which means my 5 am's are booked solid.
Jaden has been taking advantage of the bizzare weather and learning how to snow board up at Mt. Ashland. He is loving it. He even voted to continue his lessons during a complete white out last week. He will also be testing for his green belt in karate tomorrow. He is very excited. He gets a staff when he gets his next belt, which has always been a goal of his. We are proud of him for sticking with it and working toward this goal.
Kyla is thriving in preschool and making great friends. We are so glad she has someone who can keep up with her neverending supply of energy. She has also been advanced to the next level in gymnastics and will start next week. She is so happy to be "out of the baby class".
Ella is doing great. She has really shot up in the last month, not that she was ever short. Daily people comment on her beautiful eyes, but we love her loving personality. She is always ready with a hug and a smile. She is learning Karate and breakdancing from Jaden and is exceling in both. Ella's big breakthrough this month is that she is conquering her fear of dogs with the help of our new puppy Mya.
