I Hate Diets!
OK! I am going to vent. I went to the doctor today because I am frustrated with my inability to lose weight. You'd think that waking up at 5 am to exercise 5 days a week and drinking slim fast for breakfast and 100 calorie soup for lunch would be enough, but apparently not. So after the doctor took his time explaining that I'm gaining weight because I'm not burning more calories then I'm taking in (Thank you very much) He put me on a diet. So I am now on the Mediterranean Diet (or 1000-1200 calories a day diet). I was looking on the Internet for good snack ideas for this particular diet and it was recommended that I eat 2 crackers. Who eats 2 crackers? No wonder their so skinny. I thought I was doing good with 16 (The recommended serving size for reduced fat wheat thins, but I guess I was wrong, your only supposed to eat 2). So today I successfully finished my first day coming in at a grand total of 1183 calories. Let's see if I'll have enough energy to wake up in the morning. I'll let you know.

Jedi Training Camp
I spent the day with 200 Jedi's in training. We had a great time. I was in charge of the scavenger hunt or exploring your planet, as we Jedi masters prefer to call it. It was great except for the fact that the activity they asked me to do took up 10-15 min of the 45 min alloted for each den. So that means I spent app. 4 hours playing buddy tag today and now I am hoarse. No more cub scouts for me for awhile. We really do have a great group of boys. I had this one women all day telling me how great Jaden is. (Which I already knew) She kept asking me if I wanted her to put Jaden in another group because he was so good that he didn't need to be around those silly little boys whe were probably bothering him and making him have a horrible experience. I kept reminding her that he was with his friends and that he wasn't running around and going crazy with them because he's spent the last three days home with a fever and he is just recovering. She really loved Jaden. Kyla and Ella spent the morning in the tag along area at camp but jumped at the chance to go to Sunni's house in the afternoon. (Thank you Sunni). There they had a great time playing with their friends. So everyone had a fabulous day but we are all exhausted and ready for an early bedtime. Even Jaden didn't throw a fit when I told him we were going to bed early. Miracles never cease.

Wall Ball! Jaden, a man with a plan.
Every time I ask Jaden what he does at recess he always tells me Wall Ball. Finally on field day I got to see him in action. I just wanted to record this because obviously it is a big part of his life. Way to go Jaden.
PS Jaden also got his Blue Belt in Karate on Friday. Sorry no pictures. I was in such a hurry I forgot my camera. My son forgave me. I wish I would of had it though because he broke a board. It was so cool.
Sorry!
I am sorry that you have all had to stare at my beautiful niece for so long. (she is doing well by the way). We have been having an incredibly busy summer so far and I haven't had anytime to post, but I have had time to check out everyone else blog. Last week we had to bake cookies for the fathers in our ward and Jeremy and I were asked to speak on Fathers day. That was a crazy day. Jeremy was kind enough to let us celebrate his Fatherhood on Saturday so Sunday wasn't so stressful, what a guy!
The kids have been great so far this summer. We have been doing summer school together every morning. Kyla and Ella love it. Jaden hasn't complained once this summer (last year was a different story). He's not overjoyed, but I'm OK with that.
The kids spend the day outside with their friends catching bugs. Poor Kathy, she has a whole wildlife collection in her house. What an amazing mom. I was over their the other day and one of the frogs they'd caught almost jumped down her air conditioning vent. She needs to start charging admission, or charging the kids rent to house their bugs.
I again apologize for the lack of posting. Hopefully this will give you something new to look at. I am going to chaperon youth conference tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some fun pictures to post of that experience. We are doing our service project at the air show so if nothing else that should be exciting.
